1 Hour CT SAFE: State Pre-licensing Course
An individual seeking a mortgage loan originator (MLO) license in Connecticut is required to complete 21 hours of NMLS-approved education. Of this requirement, one hour of CT-specific law must be completed. This online self-study course satisfies the one hour of required state-specific education.
Within this course, students will spend time reviewing state regulations and acts impacting MLO activities; perusing scenarios, examples, and case studies; and completing activities to demonstrate understanding of the content.

- 3 hours of ethics
- 2 hours of non-traditional mortgage lending
- 12 hours of electives
- 1 hour of CT Law

NMLS ID Registration: The NMLS system is used to process MLO licensing requests for all 50 states. A unique NMLS ID is required to report all course completions. Creating an account and obtaining an ID number is a simple process that can be completed here.
